Textile Roofs is back
After a one-year hiatus, a host of new ideas, and many discussions, we are back in action and delighted to be preparing the 28th edition of Textile Roofs.
We cordially invite you to join us.
There are a few new program elements and a slightly modified setting, but the familiar character of the event series naturally remains unchanged.
We look forward to a lineup of high-caliber keynote speakers, some exciting interactive sessions, and—above all—a thrilling student competition: the winning structure, selected the day before Textile Roofs begins, will be built collaboratively by all participating students over the course of the three-day event.
Our goal, while honoring its unique tradition and special charismatic radiance which has grown over many years, is to create a "Textile Roofs" held with our long-standing and new partners that combines the best of the past with forward-looking impulses, exciting elements and inspiring fresh ideas with compelling content.
Over the past 30 years, since the first edition of "Textile Roofs" in 1995, much has developed and changed in our industry. Therefore, after 27 exciting, inspiring and community-driven editions of "Textile Roofs" it is time for the event series to undergo a comprehensive facelift.
“Textile Roofs” has always been a place for the exchange of knowledge, inspiration and encounters and it will remain so. With openness, creativity, exchange and its community, initially shaped by its founder Prof. Lothar Gründig and since 2014 successfully continued by Prof. Rosemarie Wagner, we aim to strengthen the values that have defined “Textile Roofs” from its inception.
Together we can create an event that enthusiastically showcases the innovative power of textile architecture and addresses and discusses a wide range of important future topics.
We look forward to spring 2027 with a "Textile Roofs" that combines tradition with innovation, is groundbreaking and - as always - promises three vibrant and creative days.
We hope to see you in May 2027 at Textile Roofs, the 28th.
